El Centro Family Health (An email from Michael Kauffman)

Greetings, All

Due to the short notice of this event, I am doing a mass email. I would rather contact many of you individually so I hope you won’t be offended. The fundraiser originally scheduled for September 22 has been changed to October 27.

As many of you know I have been on the board for El Centro Family Health for many years. We have 14 rural clinics, 3 dental clinics and 8 student clinics. El Centro has been operating for over 40 years. Our clinics stretch from La Loma to Taos and from Coyote to Roy. We employ over 200 individuals including doctors, physician assistants, dentists, nurses, nurse practitioners, counselors, and support staff. Our funding comes from a wide range of sources, including private insurance, medicaid, medicare, and state and federal grants. The proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward needs in specific clinics and not salaries or overhead. For more information about El Centro go to: www.ecfh.org.

This fund raising evening will be very special. Steven Michael Quezada a nationally known comedian who grew up in New Mexico will provide entertainment and act as the MC. He also has a regular role on the AMC series, “Breaking Bad.” There will be music, complementary hors deurves, a cash bar, and a fabulous assortment of art objects, services and crafts that will be available by silent and live auction. All of this will take place at the recently renovated banquet room at the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas. Groups are already buying up tables of 10 to join with their friends for the evening. Tickets will be available at the door, however, we would appreciate buying in advance so we can have a better idea of the numbers to expect. I have tickets available, and you can contact me by email or phone: 575.41.2421. I can also reserve a table for you. Consider spending the night at the Plaza; ask for one of the “haunted” rooms. A special rate of $65 for a room with a queen bed including breakfast is available until sold out.

Please come out and support this worthwhile organization, and have some fun in the process.

Hope to see you,
Michael Kauffman
